Internet sales require you to appoint the administrator of information security. Transfers exceeding a certain amount require adequate verification. These are nuances that are not commonly known yet the failure to fulfil the obligations may result in legal sanctions. The problem is usually detected when a controller has already arrived to conduct inspection.

Do you know that:

- Article 943 of the Polish Labour Code obliges the employer to counteract mobbing. Pursuant to it, detailed guidelines should be included in the Internal Anti-Mobbing Policy of the company. If this obligation is not duly fulfilled, there is a risk of losing the case if an employee sues the employer.

- The Act of 16 November 2000 on counteracting money laundering and terrorism financing requires companies to register all the transactions that exceed EUR 15.000. Moreover, the same Act obliges numerous entities to develop instructions on how to act in the cases described in Articles 165a and 299 of the Polish Criminal Code. The Act specifies the rules and procedures for counteracting money laundering and terrorism financing, and includes specific restrictive measures directed against certain people, groups and entities as well as specifies the obligations of entities involved in financial turnover with regard to data collection and reporting. It imposes certain obligations on entrepreneurs.

- Article 10. 1. of the Accounting Act specifies that an entity should have a document in Polish describing the accounting policy (the accounting rules) that it has adopted. A good accounting practice should be adapted to the company’s needs, its business activities, requirements and management style and not be just a standard template downloaded from the Internet. A suitable approach will help the company avoid problems in the future.

- Accurate secretarial instruction and document archiving policy, which sets the rules for handling document flow, the creation of documents, the transfer and storage of documents, will allow you to easily find a necessary document even after many years, should it be necessary for litigation, irrespective of employee turnover and the number of documents generated over the years.
